About Madison
Hello! My name is Madison Giddens and I am a sophomore at the University of North Georgia this semester. I am majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. I am planning on graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree and attending Physical Therapy School. I will be working with Megan Giddens on creating a tri-fold for our event to help educate people on campus of the rising number of college students struggling with hunger, and showing and telling them what they can do to help. I am thrilled to be a part of this team, and I cannot wait for the day of our event, so that I can play even just a small part in helping the community.
Personal Timeline
Actions
-
I made the poster with Megan Giddens, while making the poster we searched for statistics and information involving food insecurity, and more specifically food insecurity on the Dahlonega Campus at UNG.
-
I also educated passersby on the problem of food insecurity at UNG during the event by asking them to fill out a questionnaire and then proceeding to share with them the information we found, in hopes that they will take this information and share it with their peers, to further prevent the spread of food insecurity.
Skills
-
I learned how to better manage my time when there are many things to be done.
-
I developed better communication skills for future experiences, because I had to reach out to people in order to get them to participate.
-
I used teamwork with my team members to make this event the best it could have possibly been.
